How to book a group skydive!

So you’re bringing a group to skydive?

Excellent! You couldn’t have picked a better way to bond with your group. What could be better than throwing yourselves out of a perfectly good airplane? Well, none in our thoughts.

But now you have the daunting task of organizing your group trip. We all know how complicated that can be. Herding cats is easier! But don’t worry! We are here to help to help planning, booking, and completing the task easy and simple. So, since you are itching to jump, let’s get going!

First of all, you need to know what we consider a group. Here is the number of jumpers to be considered a group and the price each jumper will pay in that group:

As a group leader, you are rewarded for bringing your group out to our dropzone and being their point of contact. Being point of contact means that your group calls you first with questions before they call us. That way we don’t end up answering the same question for each of your group members. Here is your reward ladder:

Jump table

You, as the group leader are responsible for making sure your group is in compliance with our restrictions:

  • All jumpers must be 18 years old on the day of the jump
  • Weight limits are firm (weigh fully clothed and with shoes on): 240 males, 220 female. All jumpers will be weighed at check in and must be under the required limits. Any jumper over 200 lbs but under the limits, will have an additional $25 added to their price.

The best time to book

We suggest that you start the planning process at least 1 month in advance to make the process as easy as possible. There are several steps you need to take and they are listed below:

Step 1: Getting your group together

We all know that dealing with the payment for a large group can be a tad unpleasant at best.  If you can relate to that, then don’t worry, we got you!

Are you that rare and beautiful creature that doesn’t mind dealing with the payment? Bless your sweet, albeit insane, soul. Are you the kindest of all spirits and offered to pay for all of your friends? Great news – you can book it all at once! Give us a call and we will get your group on the books and ready to go! On a completely unrelated note, this author would like to know if you are currently accepting applications for friendship?

Are you not one of those unicorn friends? No sweat. Neither am I!

So, here is what we need you to do. To create your group gather the following items:

  • All names, phone numbers, and email addresses of each jumper
  • A $50 deposit per person (non-refundable and paid on one credit card).
  • Date you are wanting to schedule your group jump.
  • A group name (not required, but really cool!)

Step 2: Let’s book it!

When you have everything listed, give the office a call (972-552-7790) and let us know you are ready to book your group. We take two jumper up at a time and 4 per hour. So if your group contains 8 people, we would block you off a two hour time slot. The office will give you a time slot at the time of booking and your group would need to arrive at that time. So, after you have been given your time slot, paid your group’s deposit, and given the office all required jumper info, you are ready to move on to step 3!

Step 3: Individual payments

Now that everyone has paid their deposit, all jumpers in the group can call the office individually and pay the remaining portion of their jump. THIS MUST BE PAID AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE JUMP. Let everyone know the deadline and their remaining balance (jump price minus the deposit).

Step 4: Smartwaiver

Every jumper will receive a confirmation email when the group is booked into our system. This email will contain a link to the online waiver and must be completed by every jumper PRIOR to arriving at the dropzone. Please make sure to communicate this with each group member. If they arrive at the dropzone and the waiver is not completed, they will incur a $10 no waiver fee.

Step 5: Get ready to jump!

Now everything is ready and we hope you are getting excited for your jump. Just a quick reminder on dressing for your jump:

  • Tennis shoes are preferred and they should be tight. No boots with hook-n-eyes or heals of any kind.
  • Wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing. Our hanger is not air conditioned or heated.Shorts should be long
    • Shorts should be long enough that the harness won’t rub your skin
    • Tops for women should not be to low cut, because the harness will pull it lower. No accidents please!
  • In case of cold weather, we offer jump suits for your group to wear.

See you in the sky soon, new friends!!
